Ideally, PIMs are started after they are attached to a product and stopped before they are removed. When this isn't the case, this tool can be used to eliminate extraneous data at the beginning and end of the log. Suppose, for example, that you know that the PIM was removed from the shipment on February 12, 2011 but that it wasn't Stopped or Harvested until 3 days later. This tool uses the data harvested February 15 to reconstruct the data that would have been read on February 12. It produces a Rewind Event in the database that looks just like the Harvest Event would have looked.
To use Rewind, you must first use the
Select View to select an Event that displays
History and
Status data. Then, holding down the left mouse button, drag over the History chart to select the data to be kept. Now, select Rewind from the Tools menu. The Start Time and End Time fields are set to extract the data you selected. Press Save to complete the rewind.
The new event appears in the Select grid as a *Rewind mission with the requested End Time as the Date.
