An important feature of PIM Control is the ability to customize the user interface to meet the specific needs of different users or job functions. The functionality needed on the shipping dock is often different than that needed by the receiving QA department. The ability to target specific use cases is key to making PIM Control easy to use. These customized user interfaces are called Layouts. Here are a few examples:
The options available when defining Layouts fall into two categories:
-
Changes to user interface elements. You can use the
Layout Editor to:
-
-
Specify which menu items are available
-
Select which Views are available and in what order they appear
-
Define custom buttons that execute custom missions
-
Restrict users to approved lists of Missions, Profiles, and Layouts
-
-
Change the order of the columns
-
-
Sort by multiple column values
-
-
Define complex filter criteria
-
Group rows by multiple columns
Layouts can be
saved in your Local database for your personal use or in the Company database to be shared with others.
